‘Waves and Roosters in Navy' is a handsome Sarasa, a type of print heavily influenced by Indian textile which was first brought to Japan from India in the late 16^th century.  The fabric has a medium to heavy body that gives it a wonderful ability to hold structure and create a dramatic ‘empress’ like silhouette.
